Speyer needs cyclists: join in the bicycle climate test!

The bicycle friendliness in Speyer is on the brink! The General German Bicycle Club (ADFC) calls on all cyclists to participate in a decisive survey. "Until November 30th, interested parties can take part in the nationwide bicycle climate test online," explains Werner Zink, the chairman of the Speyer ADFC local group with around 170 members. The survey is an important step to evaluate and improve the bicycle traffic situation in the city.

But the participation is alarming! So far, only 63 people have participated in the survey. "This is very modest," said Zink. In comparison, cities have a similar size to Landau (283 participants), Neustadt (313) and Worms (337). Zink wonders why there is so little interest in Speyer: "Something is moving in the city," he refers to the new bicycle roads in the Mühlturm and Holzstraße. Despite this progress, Speyer has only received the grade "sufficient" (4.0) in the past. It is high time that the cyclists in Speyer raise their voice and support the survey!
