New call taxi in Speyer: Flexible local transport starts in December!

Speyer, Deutschland - From December 1st, Speyer becomes the setting for an exciting innovation in public transport! The brand new call taxi system promises more flexibility and comfort for all passengers. This innovative offer, which was launched by the city of Speyer in cooperation with the Rhein-Neckar Verkehrsverbund (VRN), will revolutionize the way in which citizens are moving-and where regular buses no longer drive!

Mayor Stefanie Seiler from the SPD and VRN boss Michael Winnes are enthusiastic and in this step you see a great opportunity to significantly increase the attractiveness of local transport. The call taxi will replace the previous call collecting taxi (AST) and offers numerous new opportunities. In early traffic, passengers can start between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. from Monday to Friday, while times vary on weekends. During the day, trips from special call taxi areas to central points such as the train station and the cathedral are possible-and that until late in the evening!

Saturday until 4 a.m., Sundays and public holidays until 5 a.m.- ideal for all night owls! The booking is easy via the MyVRN app, the website or by phone. With time cards such as the Germany ticket, the trip is even free of charge, otherwise it costs 2.60 euros, reduced 1.80 euros.
