DHL Speyer: Over 570,000 packages at Christmas - record numbers are expected!

Before Christmas, the Speyer parcel center becomes a hotspot for package deliveries! The DHL Group expects a true parcel storm: Over 570,000 shipments will run over the ligaments on the point days before the festival!

Compared to the average working days, on which between 300,000 and 400,000 packages are processed, this is a huge increase! Rudi Herz, the head of the Speyer Package Center on Gothenborger Straße, is optimistic: "We are optimally prepared for reliably and their Christmas mail to people to bring their gifts and their Christmas mail to Christmas Eve. In order to be able to cope with the enormous package quantities, the regular staff of 730 employees are reinforced by 100 temporary help. These helpers are often experienced forces that regularly stand aside in the hectic pre -Christmas period. "This is not a matter of course, because the job market is tense," Rudi Herz continued. In order to master the workload, the parcel center has already switched to three -shift operation - a sign of the immense demand and the challenges that the upcoming holidays bring!
