Two cyber criminals caught: drugs and DDOS services in Germany smash!

Frankfurt am Main, Deutschland - yesterday the authorities struck and found two German cybercriminals, which were behind the notorious online platforms "DATT.CC" and "Flight RCS". This international campaign, known as "Operation Poweroff", aims to stop the criminal activity on the Internet. The suspects, 19 and 28 years old, were taken into custody due to the suspicion of the commercial and gang-based trade and DDOS services.

The DDOS test page DATT.CC was a hot plaster for cybercriminals who wanted to try out their attacks on websites. Customers were able to test the latest methods there to paralyze websites, including techniques for bypass protection through large CDN services such as Cloudflare. The platform even had its own forum, which was quickly closed. In contrast, the clearnet drug shop "Flight RCS" offered synthetic drugs that were particularly popular with young people and children and often led to medical emergencies.

international cooperation against cybercrime

The arrests are part of a comprehensive strategy that combines law enforcement authorities from several countries. Seven house searches in cities such as Frankfurt am Main and Darmstadt were carried out in Germany. At the same time, international authorities in France, Greece, Iceland and the USA ensured the IT infrastructure of the two illegal websites. The BKA has confirmed that both suspects were shown to the judge on the holiday, who decides on their further detention.

With this determined action against DDOS providers and online drug shops, the police send a clear signal: the fight against cybercrime and illegal drug trafficking is intensified!
