A dramatic incident occurred on the B261 at noon today when a tractor -trailer on the winding slide route got into trouble. The brakes of the vehicle overheated, which led to a threatening situation when the trailer began to smoke strongly. Passers-by observed how the driver stopped his vehicle in the crossing area Arenberger Straße / Koblenzer Strasse and tried to fight the flames with a on-board fire extinguisher.

Before the fire brigade could be alerted, unexpected help came from a different direction: Building yard employee Lutz Willig, who was traveling with his sweeper, immediately jumped to rescue. With the high -pressure cleaner, which was integrated in his machine, he was able to successfully cool the overheated brakes and thus prevent worse. A true hero in need!

After the incident, he decided to turn in the Kastellbad Kreisel and take the same way back to finally reach his destination over the freshly reopened Lahnhochbrücke.
