B49 renovation: Chaos and diversions in Lahnstein from November 25th!

In a dramatic turning point for traffic in Lahnstein, the B49 (south tangent) becomes a central diversion route for the blocked B260 between Friedrichssegel and Fachbach! From November 25th to November 30th there will be massive road repair work that commuters and drivers will put on the test. The construction site will significantly impair traffic in the region, since only one lane will be available - and that in both directions!

The urgent renovation work require the removal of the damaged lane cover layer with a milling machine, followed by the installation of a new asphalt cover layer. Drivers have to adjust to a single -track traffic routing over the left half of the road before the traffic routing is switched to the freshly renovated right half of the road. The threading track is severely shortened, which makes the situation even more complicated. The responsible authorities ask the drivers for special caution in the construction site area - a call that is urgently necessary in view of the upcoming chaos in rush hour traffic!

In addition, the access from the B42 from Lahnstein towards Montabaur is blocked during work. The detour leads via the B42 towards Neuwied to the "In the Plonzert" departure and is signposted accordingly on site. The hope remains that there will be no accidents in the construction site area - because the traffic chaos could have devastating consequences for the commuters!
