Anhausen triumphs: Our village decided the future in 2024!
As part of the competition "Our village has a future", Anhausen recently took first place in the Neuwied district and thus won the gold medal. The official announcement of the results took place on October 14, 2024 after the district jury had visited all participating villages to get an idea of the various initiatives and projects on site.
A total of four municipalities, namely Anhausen, Leutesdorf, Dattenberg and Oberraden, fought for the title. District Administrator Achim Hallerbach emphasized the importance of such events by emphasizing that participation is a valuable experience even for the non -victorious villages. All participating municipalities would have remarkable projects and social activities.
sustainable projects in Anhausen
The jury was particularly impressed by the extensive measures to provide services in Anhausen. An outstanding example is the project "We are parish Anhausen". In this context, Anhausen cooperates with the neighboring municipalities Meinborn, Rüscheid and Thalhausen to tackle challenges of demographic development.
The core aspects of the project include advisory and training offers for older citizens, initiatives for self-help and the establishment of a volunteer exchange to promote voluntary work. Another highlight is the planned residential care community in cooperation with the Evangelical Social Station Straßenhaus, which is supposed to meet the need for assisted living in the community.
In addition, Anhausen has established innovative approaches to the development of digital infrastructure. This includes the "Digital parish of Anhausen" platform, which bundles current information and news on the new homepage. With the introduction of the village radio app, communication within the municipality is also facilitated, which promotes networking among the citizens and quickly spreads information.
ecological appreciation and interior development
Another aspect that makes Anhausen an attractive community is almost complete avoidance of vacancies. In recent years, around 20 houses in the old town center have been renovated and revitalized, which significantly upgrades the townscape. These measures show that Anhausen attaches great importance to interior development.
The commitment of the community is also evident in the creation of in -depth connection pathways, which are supplemented by "green islands" and play equipment. The design of the local cemetery, which captivates with old trees and bee pastures, was particularly highlighted. In addition to community care, a farm garden, which was created by residents on their own, is also mentioned as a further example of the high level of civic engagement.
The results of the competition not only offer recognition to the participating municipalities, but also valuable suggestions for future planning. The evaluations also dealt with the areas of "development concepts and economic initiatives", "civic engagement" and "green design", which illustrates how diverse the criteria for the overall rating are.
Participation in the competition enables the commitment of the citizens to emphasize and to support the municipalities in their further development. A joint solemn event of all participating villages is planned for autumn; However, the exact date is still pending.
For Anhausen, this victory is not only an award, but also an incentive to continue to actively work on the design of a living and sustainable community. The jury's claims also illustrate how important it is to appreciate the voluntary commitment and make it visible.
