Grömitz celebrates the first Oktoberfest: a complete success in the guild hall!

A new chapter in the celebration culture was opened in Grömitz. The first Oktoberfest of the Gildhalle, which took place on the four days around the day of German unity, was an extremely successful kick-off, as the organizer Jörg Meier proudly said.

Numerous visitors came together at this initial event, which gave the main organizers a positive feedback. "This is perfectly fine for an initial event," said Meier. When the guests were solemn, he thanked the various local institutions such as the tourism service, the community as well as the volunteer fire brigade and the guild, which contributed significantly to realize this festivity.

a festive atmosphere with Bavarian specialties

The atmosphere was characterized by Bavarian looseness: Many guests dressed in traditional costume, charm and cosiness created an atmosphere that reminded visitors directly of the Munich original. They were able to enjoy delicious Bavarian specialties such as Haxe, white sausage and liver cheese. Of course, the beer, known from the Oktoberfest, was not missing, which was served.

The festival was accompanied by live music, which put the guests in a party mood. The dance floor was particularly revitalized at a later hour, and polonaisen moved through the hall - a real classic that should not be missing at such events.

The positive feedback and the high number of visitors already have the first considerations for repeating the event in 2025. The planning for this gradually takes shape, so that the supporters of the Bavarian celebration can already look forward to a new edition.
