New pediatrician in Cochem: Finally help for concerned parents!

in Cochem, in the medical center of the Hary of Marien, a ray of hope for parents with sick children opened up: a brand new pediatrician practice was opened! The 75-year-old Reinhold Jansen, who took over the management of this practice, will be there for the little patients with his team three days a week. In a region where parents often have to drive over 50 kilometers for medical treatment, this step is more than just a necessary one. It is a lifeline!

The need of the parents was so great that Jansen, who actually wanted to step shorter, decided to start this project. "The need of the parents was so clear that you just couldn't ignore it," says Jansen. The community of Cochem, which is not responsible for outpatient health care, has welcomed the new offer with financial support. Mayor Wolfgang Lambertz (CDU) emphasizes: "The need was so big. The system no longer works. We have to get involved here." Now the foundation stone has been laid for improved pediatric care, and Lambertz hopes for other doctors who join the team.
