Stefan Hofmann remains the undisputed captain of the 1st FSV Mainz 05! At the general meeting, the 61-year-old received an impressive 77 percent of the vote and will therefore continue to act as the association and board chairman. Hofmann has been running the club since January 2018 and was the only candidate for the election - a clear sign of the trust of the members!

The economic situation of the association is brilliant! Financial director Christopher Blümlein announced that Mainz 05 is in a "very good situation", which is primarily due to the steadily growing number of members and the booming ticket sale. With over 22,000 members, the association has set a new record. Sports director Christian Heidel emphasized the strong cohesion of the club, even in difficult times: "The whole club held together last season. That was the basis. Mainz 05 can crisis!"

Discussion about election on the supervisory board

But not everything went smoothly! At the beginning of the meeting, a heated debate over the election of the Supervisory Board. Three candidates were not approved for election, which led to an application to postpone the election. Although there was a majority for the shift, it was not enough for the necessary two-thirds majority. An exciting moment that the members kept on trot!
