Frankfurt, Deutschland - drama in the hall: TFC Ludwigshafen starts with defeat!
The TFC Ludwigshafen lost his opening game in the hall round of the 2nd Regionalliga Süd with a sobering 6: 2 (3: 1) against Eintracht Frankfurt. Nervousness and unrest shaped the game of the Palatinate, who quickly fell behind and never really recover. After a promising start to the field round, where they defeated Frankfurt 3-2, the disappointment was all the greater. Coach Sebastian Minges, who celebrated his debut, was visibly dissatisfied: "It was a game to forget for us today!" He said after the final whistle.
a game full of twists
The game started anything but optimal for the TFC. After an early deficit, the Ludwigshafeners found better into the game and achieved the connection goal (27th) through Adrian Ballosch, but the joy only lasted. Yannick Metz, who previously took care of the 2: 3, saw the red card shortly afterwards and had to leave the field. With one man less it became extremely difficult for the TFC, and Eintracht took the opportunity to increase the result to 6: 2.
Minges, who previously trained the TFC women and youth teams, had high expectations of his first game in the hall. "We acted very nervously at the beginning, then got better into the game. The 3-1 for Frankfurt then throws us out of the game for no reason," said the coach. Despite the defeat, he sees a little ray of hope: "The fact that we will only do two goals is one of the few positive memories today." The challenge for the TFC will now be to learn from this defeat and to stabilize for the upcoming games.
