Armmed resistance: prison sentence for Corona measures!
In a spectacular procedure at the Koblenz district court, a criminal association called "Paladin" was convicted, which was actively against government measures during the Corona pandemic. The group, which dealt with weapons and paramilitary exercises, caused a sensation when a 39-year-old ringleader was sentenced to a prison sentence of two years and nine months. The other two members, 57 and 64 years old, received probation penalties of one year and three months and one and a half years.
The presiding judge Julia Rau made it clear that it was an armed resistance to the state. The main defendant had called for the fight against state corona measures since September 2020 and specified an ideological orientation for the group. The men met regularly and even produced weapons using 3D printers, including a crossbow. During the process, the main defendant with aggressive interjections and a long monologue caused excitement and was temporarily excluded from the negotiation hall.

Judge Rau described the incidents as a "break in aggression" and recalled the violent kicks against the dock. Despite the accused's claims that they were frightened citizens, the court found that numerous news between them indicated another reality. The defender of the main accused advocated a mild punishment, but the public prosecutor demanded a prison sentence of four years for the 39-year-old. After the verdict was pronounced, the defense announced that he wanted to appeal.
