B 9: Last construction work - traffic redirected from November 14th!

Andernach, Deutschland - drama on the B9! From November 14th, the Aneltal Bridge near Andernach will become a construction site! The road builders are preparing for the last major construction phase to renew the road surface. But before it really starts, temporary protective devices have to be dismantled and implemented to the other side. That means: traffic jams and diversions for all drivers towards Koblenz!

The first measures begin on November 14th when the road is narrowed towards Koblenz and the driveway is blocked from the L 117 to the B 9. Road users have to adjust to a detour via the L 117 to the Miesenheimer Kreuz before they can turn onto the B 256. And that's not all! On November 15, the departure from the B 9 to L 116 towards Bonn will also be blocked. Here drivers have to dodge via the neighboring junction L 117. Chaos is inevitable!

final preparations for the large construction site

The work on the last construction phase then begins on November 18. It is planned to mill the old asphalt layers and apply new binder and cover layers. The entire construction work is expected to be completed before Christmas 2024. The road users are asked to drive particularly carefully and observe the signposted diversions. The road traffic authority has already announced that all traffic tours are clearly signposted on site.

The residents and commuters should adapt to considerable traffic disruptions. If you use the B9, you should inform yourself in good time and plan alternative routes so as not to put it in a traffic jam. The construction work is important, but they also bring a lot of inconvenience with them!
