Palatinate price for handicrafts: exhibition opened in the Wadgasserhof!

Steinstraße 55, 67655 Kaiserslautern, Deutschland - Kaiserslautern - a festival for the handicrafts! In the Wadgasserhof, the highly expected exhibition at the Palatinate Prize for Crafts was opened. The district association Pfalz, in close cooperation with the Chamber of Crafts of the Palatinate, is committed to promoting creative work in the region and putting it into the spotlight. District Council Chairman Hans-Ulrich Ihlenfeld emphasized that the exhibition impressively presents the high quality and diversity of the handicrafts in the Palatinate.

The jury, consisting of experts, has selected 41 outstanding works of 15 main prize and 5 young candidates. The exhibited work includes impressive creations from the areas of jewelry and gemstone design, gemstone grinding, woodworking, ceramics and instrument construction. "Lively and modern handicrafts, successful and appealing," said Dirk Fischer, President of the Palatinate Chamber of Crafts, who praised the sophistication and perfection of the work. The artisans have managed to transform different materials into real works of art that are both beautiful and useful.

The exhibition, which can be seen from November 16 to December 15th in the Wadgasshof of the city museum in Kaiserslautern, shows the special works by the life's award winner Heinrich Andreas Schilling, who is known as a master and diploma designer, as well as the Palatinate winner Mi Sook Hwang, a talented ceramic, and the youngsters Leon Wegener Carpenter. Dr. Bernd Klesmann, head of the city museum, praised the diversity and beauty of the objects and pointed out that ceramics by Lotte Reimers can also be seen in the foyer, which was awarded the prize in 2014.

The exhibition is open on Wednesdays to Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free! An absolute must for art lovers and everyone who wants to experience the creative energy of the Palatinate!
