Jockgrim, Deutschland - A charming bitch and strong horses revolutionize therapy in Jockgrim! The enthusiastic occupational therapist Alena Guttenbacher managed to bring animal support to her new practice, which ensures positive changes, especially in children and adolescents.

The visitors of Bijou, a friendly mixed breed dog of pug and Beagle, are warmly welcomed when entering the practice. "Bijou is a real icebreaker!", Enthuses Alena. This little fur nose conjures up a smile on the faces of the clients and opens heart, even with the most anxious. Alena Guttenbacher is convinced: "The dog helps enormously to reduce barriers and create trust!"

From the nurse to an occupational therapist with vision

The talented occupational therapist moved into her new practice rooms in August. Living in Jockgrim, the Palatinate, born in 1993, brings her passion for working with people and animals. After training as a nurse, where time was often in short supply for the patients, she decided to become an occupational therapist inspired by her aunt. "Treating horses - that has always been my dream!" Reviates Alena. This vision is now a reality and captivates both children and their parents.

Alena has already gained six years of experience in the Palatinate Clinic Klingenmünster. After the baby break, it was time to found their own practice, which stands out from others through animal -assisted therapy. Therapy with animals is not only innovative, but also brings joy and ease into the often challenging everyday life.
