Neuburg is facing an exciting fresh start! A new community center is being built and the old concept of the renovation is finally off the table!

In a unanimous decision, the local council paved its way for the new building on Wednesday evening. The existing community center, whose wet basement can no longer be used for meetings, does not meet the necessary standards. The renovation would have made over two million euros, but the community decided to start a fresh start!

architect Achim City of “Archs Architects” had already presented various alternatives in September, but the enthusiasm for renovation was zero. Instead, the cost estimates for the new building are between three and four million euros. Mayor Dieter Hutzel from the CDU emphasizes that the decision for the new building is not synonymous with the choice of a specific variant. It is clear: Neuburg urgently needs a new meeting place to strengthen community life!

Now it is time to secure the financial means and apply for the building permit. The municipality relies on grants from the state and district to implement the project. The mayor was commissioned to take the necessary steps and to have discussions with the district. The plans for the upgrading of the old community center are precisely, and the municipality calls on the district administration to refrain from revoking the building permit from 1992 and no longer enforced the fire protection requirements. Neuburg is ready for the next step into a promising future!
