Information on postal voting

All eligible voters have the option of submitting an application for postal voting, although no valid reason is required. The application must be made at the municipality of the first residence, and the documents are now requested, but will only be available later. The election notification is not absolutely necessary, but can be helpful. For the postal vote, the ballot paper is printed and sent from January 30, 2025.

The period between the provision of the documents and the election day is about 10 to 12 days. To ensure that the election letter will be received in good time, it must have arrived at the electoral authority on election day by 6 p.m. at the latest. Particular attention should be paid to the fact that longer postal times can be expected from January 1, 2025, so that voters, especially abroad, should plan well in advance.
