Energy transition on site: New guidelines for sustainable municipalities!
Trier, Deutschland - The energy transition is in full swing! The specialist agency renewed raw materials (FNR) has published a groundbreaking guide: "Renewable Energie municipalities-Guide to sustainable energy supply in villages and towns". This comprehensive guide, created by the Institute for Applied Sub -Strom Management (IFAS) of the Trier University of Applied Sciences, offers municipalities valuable information to effectively use local resources and actively design the energy transition.
The guide is available as a free PDF download on mediaathek.fnr.de and will be presented on February 5, 2025 in an online event as part of the series "Green Warmth for Dörfer and Kütte". Local political decision -makers such as mayors, MPs and employees of energy agencies are particularly addressed. The focus is on biomass and other sustainably available, renewable resources that are decisive for heat supply, electricity and mobility.
practical solutions for municipalities
The municipalities receive valuable information on planning, promotion and new technologies that are essential for regenerative energy supply. A central topic is regional added value, which is promoted by local energy generation. The guide also illuminates how social services, such as improving biodiversity and adapting to climate change, can be integrated into the land use. Practical examples for the utilization of flower plants and residues from landscape maintenance show innovative approaches.
The creation of the guideline was generously promoted by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), which underlines the importance of this project. Be there when the online event "Renewable Energy Communes" takes place on February 5, 2024 and discover the possibilities for your community!
