The environmental campus in Birkenfeld has a new increase: 300 fresh faces have started in the winter semester. In order to welcome the new students, the traditional first semester week, which is known as "Flying Days", took place at the end of September. This introductory event was distributed over three days and offered new students an extensive program.

The program was a real mix of meaningful learning and relaxation. The new students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with student life and get to know their new campus, including the university library. The important contacts were also presented who are intended to make it easier for students to get started. It was important that the new members of the university quickly find their way around and know where they can receive support.

The "Flying Days" ended with the traditional annual tree planting, a welcome symbol for the new beginning.
