Shock accident on A 61: Jungfrau rams car and injures four people!

A serious traffic accident on the A 61 occurred on November 2, 2024, when a 20-year-old acted unhappily while driving onto the motorway in Bad Kreuznach. Around 8:56 p.m. she wanted to drive towards Koblenz onto the highway and jerked off from the acceleration strip directly onto the left lane. A serious mistake, because there was already a 41-year-old who could no longer avoid. The subsequent collision was inevitable!

In the unfortunate incident, the 20-year-old and her 21-year-old passenger were slightly injured and immediately brought to the surrounding hospitals for examination. The occupants of the other vehicle-the 41-year-old and his 40-year-old passenger-also did not remain intact and also had to take medical treatment, while the two children in the car of the 41-year-old remained in safe condition. And all of this was only done by a second break in the carelessness!

The police estimate the damage to the young driver's vehicle at a proud 7,500 euros, while the 41-year-old car costs 8,000 euros. His car had to be towed due to the damage. The accident meant a significant disturbance for traffic on the A 61: the highway was closed between 9:00 p.m. and around 10:15 p.m. in the direction of Koblenz. Another clear sign of the dangers to be observed when operating the highway!

The police urge caution and indicates the danger of pulling directly from the acceleration strip on the left lane, because the right of way of flowing traffic applies in all traces. An alarm sign for all drivers!
