Model exhibition: Kirner Church celebrates with new history!

The Evangelical Church in Kirn will be the focus of a special exhibition these days. On the last weekend in October, October 26th and 27th, Armin Holzhäuser presented a fascinating model of the building that is over 1000 years old. The exhibition takes place in the sports hall of the Domini School and opens its doors from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can look forward to an impressive replica that is based on elaborate research and seven -week working hours.

This church not only has a long history, but has also experienced many ups and downs. In particular, the flood of 1871 not only affected the building, but also demanded 26 lives. After this catastrophe, the old church, which now only existed in pictures and drawings, was partially demolished and had to be rebuilt in the following years. Holzhäuser was able to find out many details on the history of the Kirner Church in browse in the city archive, supported by his friends Karl-Heinz Buss and Manfred Kuhnert, who were assisted with valuable information.

The meaning of the model

The model is more than just a replica; It offers a deep insight into the local history and the structural development of the city. The exhibition should not only keep the memory of the old church awake, but it also serves to clarify the changes that the cityscape of Kirn have shaped over the centuries. Citizens can therefore not only look forward to the impressive work of art, but also learn a lot about the past of their community.

The church, which was built in its current form more than 130 years ago, reflects the resilience and the will of the Kirner population to build and thrive again according to natural disasters. With the model, Holzhäuser made a cultural contribution and preserved the memory of the city in a unique way.

In the sports hall, not only the model itself, but also historical documents and pictures are exhibited that take visitors on a journey through the history of Kirn. This offers the opportunity to learn more about the development of the place and the importance of the church in the life of the local people.

Through his detailed work, Armin Holzhäuser managed to bring a piece of Kirner's story to life. The model exhibition will therefore not only structure historians and city historians, but also address young and old who are interested in the roots of their community.

This extraordinary Initiative is estimated and encourages people to take part in the celebrations and to experience the model and the associated history up close. The contribution of Holzhäuser is not just a work of art, but a valuable resource for future generations to explore the roots of your community.
