This initiative, which was launched almost four years ago, motivates users to collect virtual trees through simple activities, which are then actually planted in cooperation with the forestry office. Christoph Nath, managing director of the group of companies, was enthusiastic about the collected 5,000 trees this year and thanks over 50 helpers for their use. "Together we not only did something good for the environment, but also brought together committed people," he explained, while he called the forester Lorenz Berger, who also made a major contribution to this campaign.

But the success story doesn't stop here! According to Kreuznacher Stadtwerke , the company has also proven to be extremely positive in its overall balance: Since January 2021, all private households in Bad Kreuznach and the surrounding area have received green electricity. In the 2021 financial year, the municipal utilities recorded an increase in sales of 0.5 percent and were able to achieve an annual result of 6.8 million euros. Investments in renewable energies also grow steadily, which supports the circulation of sustainable energy supply. This is not only shown in the power supply, but also in the establishment of new electric charging stations that make the region fit for e-mobility.

With this continuous development and the commitment to reforestation, the Kreuznach municipal utilities are increasingly focusing on sustainability and a sense of responsibility, which is considered both in the community and nationwide.
