In a dramatic turning point for health care in Bad Kreuznach, the Kreuznacher Diakonie Foundation has announced the takeover of several facilities of the Franciscan brothers! From January 1, 2025, the renowned St. Marienwörth hospital, the Palliative base in Rheinhessen-Nahe, the Haus St. Josef nursing home and the MVZ near the Mühlenstraße campus will be handed over to the Foundation. This decision was announced on November 14th, but is still subject to the Federal Cartel Office and the Hospital Planning Authority of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate
Andreas Heinrich, the board of directors of the foundation, expressed optimistic: "We want to use synergies and expand our offer sensibly." After a long negotiation marathon, he believes that this merger will strengthen the region. Dr. Mark Boddenberg, a representative of the Franciscan brothers, sees a good solution for the high -quality supply of the region. The takeover comes at a critical time because the Bad Kreuznach hospital location got many citizens during the self -administration procedure. Jutta Magmer-Melaas, nursing director of the Diakonie Hospital, is convinced that the collaboration will lead to better care.
