A great honor for the museum of the city of Alzey! It was recognized as the "museum of the month" and receives 1,000 euros. The Rhineland-Palatinate Minister of Culture Katharina Binz personally presented the award ceremony. Museum director Dr. Eva Heller-Kareth is pleased and emphasized: "I think we did a lot right." She believes that the basics for a positive development are already laid, even if there is always room for improvements.

The award is intended to put the impressive work of small and medium-sized museums in Rhineland-Palatinate in the spotlight. The Museum Association Rhineland-Palatinate awards this honor to institutions that are characterized by exceptional performance. Particularly fitting: On Sunday, the museum of the city of Alzey celebrated the start of a special exhibition in honor of the respected vine breeder Georg Scheu. This event certainly attracts many visitors and underlines the importance of the museum in the region.
