Around 5:30 p.m., a damaged man stopped his striking light green Focus e-bike in the parking lot of the Lidl and secured it with a massive metal fold castle. But when he returned at 11:30 p.m., the e-bike had disappeared without a trace-only the cut castle was left on the floor!

The incident highlights the increasing number of theft in the region, which rose by 20 percent in 2022. Simple theft can be punished in Germany with up to five years in prison, even up to ten years in particularly severe cases!
