After the devastating flood disaster in 2021, which the Ahr Valley and the workshops at Kripper Straße 26 badly damaged, private and commercial customers can now again access the diverse services of the laundry. The acceptance point has been open since April 2024 and even offers a practical support and delivery service for companies.

In the heart of the team, department head Ruben Skek Hassan, who is passionate about the participation of people with disabilities in working life. "We offer attractive jobs in a structured and appreciative environment," he emphasizes. The team consists of four specialists and twelve workshop employees who sort them in various areas of responsibility such as laundry, operate machines and work. SCEK Hassan attaches great importance to the fact that employees are not only busy, but also get the chance of personal and professional development.

In the laundry, not only the laundry is processed, but also the social skills of the employees are promoted. Teamwork, mutual support and communication are central elements of everyday work. "We actively live inclusion and offer our employees real chances of fulfilling work," explains SCEK Hassan. The opportunity to take responsibility, such as advice from customers or the operation of the cash register system, is open to employees, which helps them to develop their potential.
