Change of staff in Ahrweiler: Sabine Glaser takes over SPD chair!

A new wind blows in the SPD in the Ahrweiler district! During a recent district party conference, Sabine Glaser from Oberwinter took over the management of Marcel Hürter's district association. Hürter, previously President of the State Statistical Office in Bad Ems, received the appointment as the new president of the State Audit Office by Prime Minister Alexander Schweitzer (SPD). The 44-year-old Wassenacher leaves a long track record and was a member of the state parliament for five years, while at the same time playing a major role in the SPD district parliamentary group. Now he moves to Speyer in a few days to start his new position.

A look back at Hürter's success

"I was happy to get involved in local and national politics and always tried to make the country a little bit better," said Hürter in his emotional farewell speech, which was given great applause. For eight years he took the chair of the SPD at the district level and is considered extremely popular due to his extensive expertise and respectful dealings.

Sabine Glaser now steps in big footsteps and will lead the party to a new era. Their commitment and fresh vigor promise to continue to make the SPD in the Ahrweiler district strongly and successfully. The change in the party leadership brings fresh perspectives and a spirit of optimism - for which many are waiting for in political space.
