Shock on the B9: Two serious accidents at Sinzig - driver injured!

On Friday, two dramatic traffic accidents occurred on the B9 near Sinzig in the Ahrweiler district, which significantly impaired the road conditions. A driver raced on a tractor unchecked, which led to a spectacular rollover of his vehicle. In a further incident, only a short time later, another driver lost control in a dangerous curve and crashed into the guardrail. Both accidents left seriously injured drivers and massive damage to the vehicles.

The first accident occurred near the Ahr Bridge when a driver overlooked a tractor on the right lane. The impact was so violent that the tractor tipped over and the car overturned, landed on the roof and the driver had to be taken to the hospital seriously injured. Witnesses reported that the driver of the car smelled of alcohol. Fortunately, the tractor driver was not injured, but both vehicles suffered total loss. The B9 was closed in the direction of Koblenz for several hours, while the salvage was carried out.
