Rally Cologne-Ahrweiler: Viersener Duo celebrates historical triumph!

Nürburg, Deutschland - The 2024 ADAC Rallye Köln-Ahrweiler, which took place on November 8th and 9th, was a top-class spectacle! For the first time in history, the rally duo Georg Christopher Gerhard from Viersen and his passenger Natalie Solbach-Schmidt from Attendorn triumphed in the impressive ŠKODA FABIA R5. This traditional event not only attracted the best drivers, but also a huge amount of enthusiastic spectators who witnessed the demanding 152 -kilometer special exams around Nürburg and the Eifel.

The rally offered an exciting mix of modern racing cars and historical youngstimers that captivated the spectators. The popular sections of the route such as the "RK Südschleife" and "Eifelgold" in particular caused thrills, while the drivers fought themselves through close curves and changing conditions. A highlight was the traditional parenting test on the legendary Nordschleife, which was even driven backwards this time! The number of spectators was overwhelming again, and the rallyefans cheered the participants loudly on the asphalt and gravel routes.

The organizers were enthusiastic about the successful rally and already let the plans for 2025 start. The next set -up dates are in the eye for November 7th and 8th, 2025. With such a positive response it is clear that the Rallye Köln-Ahrweiler will continue to remain an integral part of the motorsport scene in the future!
