New building for ZF in Niederzissen: Hope for the flood disaster!

The men and women who cross the streets of Niederzissen have all the reason to be happy: a new chapter is opened! The automotive supplier ZF takes the first steps towards a new company location with the solemn groundbreaking ceremony. Politicians and employees of the previous location in Ahrweiler took part in the ceremonial ceremony, who are excited to see their new workplace.

The region thinks back to the terrible flood night of 2021, which cost 135 people and left tragic damage. The ZF plant was also devastated that night. The decision to build a new location was not long in coming. Now, after lengthy preparations, the longed -for move is officially heralded.

The politicians are optimistic: "We ensure that we together lay a strong foundation for the future of an important company," said Andy Becht, State Secretary. ZF and the facilities of the region are facing an exciting time in which challenges have to be mastered in order to get the new location.

But the anticipation is tangible. The employees can hardly wait for the new era while saying goodbye to the ruins of their old workplace. The region hopes that this new beginning can also bring back the lifeline of the community, even if the scars of the past weigh heavily. Impressive how ZF stands up and defies the storm, who changed everything years before.
