Carnival in Ahrweiler: New prince couple inspires the Jecken!

The fifth season started in Ahrweiler with a spectacular start! Two of the largest carnival societies have proclaimed their new tolls and brought the celebrations to shake. The Ahrweiler Carnival Society (AKG) and the foolish compatriots from Heimersheim let the foolish rulers raise and sparked the anticipation for the session 2024/2025.

For the first time since 2018, the Jecken in Ahrweiler again rule a prince couple: Prince Kai I. (Krause) and Princess Maria I. (El Tawil). The mood was overwhelming at the proclamation in the Helmut-Gies citizens' center! Prince Kai I., a project team leader for fiber optic expansion at Telekom in 1971 in Cologne-Ehrenfeld, is not only a passionate carnivalist, but also a big football fan of the 1. FC Köln and Ahrweiler BC. His hobbies include good food, travel and celebrating with Cologne bands. He lives in Ahrweiler together with his life partner Maria and her two daughters.

The new princess and her passions

Princess Maria I. brings her own dynamics! As a sergeant at the Bundeswehr Medical Service in Koblenz, she juggles career and family. In her free time, she devotes herself to archery, creative projects and customs care, while her son Elias kicks the Bambini of the ABC. With Karl-Heinz Conradt, an experienced adjutant, at her side, nothing stands in the way of a lavish proclamation party!

But that wasn't all! The foolish country crowns from Heimersheim have also proclaimed their new prince: Michael I. (Holzem), a 46-year-old roofer who has been active in the carnival since 1993! He brings his passion for golf and gardening and even founded a regulars' table. His son Fynn was children's prince in Heimersheim last year. The celebrations were emotional when the outgoing prince Manfred IV was adopted with a re-texted Beatles classic "All you need is alaaf". An unforgettable evening for everyone involved!
