HSG Römerwall celebrates away win: 36:32 against Sinzig/Remagen!

Rheinbrohl, Deutschland - Rheinbrohl. A gripping neighborhood duel! The first men's team of HSG Römerwall started to cross the Rhine to compete with the HSG Sinzig/Remagen/Ahrweiler. The Römerwaller, previously without loss of away point, met an opponent who shone with 7: 1 points and was unbeaten. The tension was tangible because many players played on both sides of the Rhine, which made it even more exciting. Player coach Tim Binnes and his team had firmly decided to win in the fourth away game. The complete squad was ready, the signs were promising!

The kick -off fell and it was immediately clear: two strong series of attacks meet here! After only five minutes it was already 4: 4. But the Römerwaller quickly found their game and pulled away to 7:12 in the middle of the first half. With a halftime score of 15:19 for the guests it went into the cabins, but the HSG had to accept two controversial time penalties right at the beginning of the second half - a very bad start! The hosts used the majority to shorten the gap to 19:20. But HSG goalkeeper Fabian Unkel and his teammates stabilized the defensive and did not allow any goal to go on for eleven minutes!

tension until the end

Although HSG Römerwall was able to expand its lead to 20:26, the game remained exciting. The hosts tried everything to shorten the gap, but the Römerwaller could not be disturbed. With clever one-on-one situations, they managed to keep the lead to 30:33. Despite a careless defense and weak throwing efficiency of the Römerwaller, the home side did not come closer. In the end, the HSG Römerwall triumphed with a 32:36 victory and thus secured the important points!

For the HSG played: Léandre Gnanduillet (goal), Fabian Unkel (goal), Simon Bednarz (5/3), Tim Binnes (5), Antonio ćaćić (1), Robert Czapla (2), Niklas Fauth, Johann Frensch (2), Hendrik Frorath, Sebastian Heßler, Konstantin Hramov (5), Lucas Siedenkamp (2), Philipp Stuntz (10), Jannik Walter (4).
