Reading festival Captain N Book: Adventure for small bookworms in Bergisch Gladbach!

On Sunday, November 10th, the Kunstmuseum Villa Zanders in Bergisch Gladbach will be the scene of an exciting reading festival that will captivate small bookworms! As part of the popular Rhenish reading festival "Käpt'n Book", children and families have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of books. From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., visitors can not only experience exciting stories, but also take part in a creative art workshop. District culture officer Charlotte Loesch is looking forward to the banned faces of the children who listen to the authors.

The afternoon begins at 2 p.m. with a reading from the children's book "Mr. Krake clears the sea". Here the small listeners learn that the seas are endangered by the overwater inhabitants. At 3:30 p.m. it continues with Petra Postert's "Next door the wilderness", in which Mathis and adventurous Majella explore the neighboring gardens. And the highlight? At 5 p.m. Andreas Hüding takes the children into the musical reading "The Fantastic Flying Foundation Beast", where lost treasures are sought in a flying bed!

additional activities and exhibitions

In addition to the readings, visitors can admire the current exhibitions "Paper / Elements. Art from paper and the four elements" and "Jenny Michel: Soft Ruins". From 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., an open art workshop is offered for the creative minds among the little guests, in which a maximum of 15 children can take part at the same time. Participation is free of charge and offers a perfect opportunity to light the children's imagination!
