Captain n Book: Family festival in the art museum inspires small bookworms!

On Sunday, November 10th, the Kunstmuseum Villa Zanders in Bergisch Gladbach will become the setting for the popular reading festival "Käpt’n Book". From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., families and children can immerse themselves in the world of stories and look forward to exciting readings with renowned authors. District culture officer Charlotte Loesch is enthusiastic: "Every year it is great to see how banned the children listen to the authors of the day and be enthusiastic about reading."

The family day begins at 2 p.m. with the reading from "Mr. Krake clears the sea". Here the small listeners of Mr. Krake, who takes care of the pollution of the oceans and playfully sensitized the children to ecological topics. At 3:30 p.m. it continues with Petra Postert, who reads from "next door the wilderness" and brings the adventures of Mathis and Majella to life. At 5 p.m., Andreas Hüding takes the children into an imaginative world full of adventures and hands -on activities with his musical reading "The Fantastic Flying Fund Beast". These stories are not only entertaining, but also encourage children's imagination!

Experience art and creativity

But that's not all! The Funk bookstore will be on site with a book table where small bookworms can buy and sign books. The Kunstmuseum Villa Zanders opens its doors free of charge for all visitors and offers the opportunity to explore the exhibitions "Paper / Elements" and "Jenny Michel: Soft Ruins". From 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. there is an open art workshop for creative minds, in which children from the age of six can create their own works of art. The workshop can be visited continuously, whereby a maximum of 15 children can participate at the same time.

The Rheinische Reading Festival "Käpt’n Book" is a highlight for families and will take place this year from November 3 to 17. In addition to the family day in the Kunstmuseum, there are numerous other readings in the region. Be there and experience an unforgettable day full of stories and art!
