The need for this choice resulted from the resignation of the previous parliamentary group leader Denis Waldestl, who put his offices in September for private and professional reasons. The 60-year-old ruiters, who previously worked as managing director of the parliamentary group, was enthusiastic about her new tasks. "The district policy is very important to me and I'm looking forward to the new tasks," she said. She is particularly committed to socio-political issues and has campaigned for many years to establish a third women's shelter in the Rhein-Sieg district.
