An exciting event is imminent! On Sunday, November 10th, the International Phono+Radio Museum at Bahnhofstrasse 2-4 will open its doors at 12:30 p.m. There the book presentation of Jens Uwe Völmecke will take place, while Volkmar Hess opened the new exhibition "Haste Tones - sounded music from the funnel". A must for music lovers!
The record and the radio revolutionized the cultural life of the 20th century and inspired many well -known songs. Two new books presented at this event gather these musical treasures and even contain original recordings:
- "records, the big fashion" -a 72-page, richly illustrated book with 3 CDs, available for 30 euros.
- "Show your radio" -for the 100th birthday of the German radio, a 136-page book with 4 CDs, for 35 euros.
The program of the afternoon is packed with highlights: from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. book presentations and shellac booth, followed by a museum tour at 2:15 p.m. And not to forget the live appearance of the Flön Royal Dixieland Orchestra from 3:15 p.m., known for his rousing blues and swing melodies!
Entry and donations
Entry to this musical experience is free! However, visitors are cordially invited to make voluntary contributions to cover the costs. A perfect Sunday trip for the whole family to immerse yourself in the world of music history!
