Silent holidays in the Rhein-Kreis: Enjoying peace or risking the fine?

Rhein-Kreis Neuss, Deutschland - In the Rhein-Kreis Neuss, November will be quiet and respectful! On three days in November- All Saints' Day on the 1st, the Memorial Day on the 17th and the Sunday of the Dead on the 24th- special rules apply by legislators to protect the days of commemoration and mourning. These quiet holidays require a quieter atmosphere than on conventional Sundays and public holidays. The responsible office for security and order draws attention to the fact that compliance with these provisions is of the utmost importance.

Numerous activities are strictly prohibited during the quiet holidays. From 5 a.m. to 1 p.m., markets- including flea and private car markets- have to pause as well as commercial exhibitions and similar events. Sporty events, such as horse races, and the entire spectrum of circus and folk festival events are also prohibited during this time. In particular, the All Saints' Day and Dead Sunday regulations go even further: the bans are effective here until 6 p.m. This means that even the arcades have to close and there are no musical or entertaining performances in restaurants - a silent time in which respect is required!

rules to protect the holidays

Marcus Mertens, the head of the district regulations, emphasizes the importance of appreciating the meaning of the holidays during the encounters on these days. "Consideration is crucial," he says. In addition, the general legal regulations for the protection of Sundays and public holidays apply, which are binding for the craft, manufacture as well as the commercial and travel advertising. Anyone who violates these rules must expect sensitive fines!
