Grevenbroich, Deutschland - The Rhein-Kreis Neuss has opened the stage for integration and diversity again! Eight outstanding projects were awarded the prestigious integration price 2024, which under the motto "strong together: promote diversity, live integration!" stands. The projects that work tirelessly for the integration of immigrants and intercultural exchange were rewarded with a total dotation of 7,000 euros. The brilliant award ceremony took place in the historic tithe barn in Grevenbroich, where district administrator Hans-Jürgen Petrauschke proudly honored the winners. "The integration price is an important recognition for all those who work tirelessly to build bridges between cultures," emphasized Petrauschke.

The top positions went to Susanne Graefe-Henne and Monika. Graefe-Henne impressed with their "voluntary German courses for newly immigrants" in Neuss, who not only convey language skills, but also promote social networks. Women in particular who otherwise have no access to integration courses benefit from their use. Monika Measures from Jüchen, on the other hand, have tirelessly worked on the integration of refugees since 2015 by helping to find an apartment, conveying jobs and organizing children's holidays to promote contact between refugees and local children.

Renas Sido and Astrid Fox came in second place. Sido, a passionate fighter for equality and anti -racism, uses media appearances to spread his message and tell the history of his escape from Syria. With "Café Lichtblick" in Meerbusch-Büderich, Astrid Fox has created a meeting point that serves as a place of encounter and exchange for refugees and locals after the Ukraine decline.

In addition, four other projects were honored with honorary certificates: Hatice Motors "Arrive together" in Neuss, the BBZ Dormagen with his "girl and women's information fair", the football friends Büderich ´22 e.V. with their "family festival" and Mirnije Azizajs "Kitchen from all over the world". These projects are exemplary for the commitment of many people who are committed to respectful coexistence and an open society.
