Casting for Shrek: Become part of the Neuss musical highlights 2025!

Brückstraße 1, 41460 Neuss, Deutschland - Neuss is head! The music school of the city of Neuss and the Kulturforum Alte Post call up all the talents to apply for the Neuss musical weeks 2025! On Monday, November 25, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the eagerly awaited castings will take place. Young people aged 14 and over and young adults have the unique opportunity to secure a main or supporting role in the spectacular production "Shrek- the Musical" and to gain valuable musical experience under professional conditions!

The castings take place in the music school of the city of Neuss in the Romaneum (Brückstraße 1). From Monday, November 11, 2024, the registration form is available online at www.neusser-musicalwochen.de/casting2025/ Hurried applicants should hurry: The registration deadline for the first casting date is on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Interested parties can register for the second appointment by Wednesday, November 27th, 11:59 p.m.

The requirements are high! Applicants have to prepare a song from a musical and a pop song for singing, with at least one song in German. Songs from "Shrek" are expressly allowed! Playbacks or notes with chord symbols have to be brought along, and a classic or modern acting monologue of about three minutes is also required. A choreography is also expected using a video template. During the casting, the prepared songs and monologues work intensively, and there are exercises from dance, singing and acting on the program.

If you want to take the chance to be there at "Shrek", you should also have a look at the rehearsal times: rehearsals begin in December, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and in February and March 2025, additional weekend samples are scheduled. The intensive end rehearsals take place in the Easter holidays 2025 and from April 28 to May 1. The performances themselves are planned for the period from May 2 to 4, 2025.
