Revolution in the classroom: AI project for schools in the Rhein-Erft district!

In the Rhein-Erft district, something exciting is in the education area: A pilot project of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia could fundamentally change the lessons at secondary schools through the use of artificial intelligence (KI).

This innovative approach opens up schools in the Rhein-Erft district the opportunity to actively apply for the project. The three CDU members of the Landtag Romina Plonsker, Gregor Golland and Thomas Okos have pointed out that a total of 25 schools can become part of this program.

individual learning through KI

School Minister Dorothee Feller emphasizes that artificial intelligence, if it is used correctly, can positively influence the learning processes of the students. The adaptation of the teaching content to the individual strengths and weaknesses of the learners is a central point. This innovative technique is intended to help the students be able to respond faster to their respective needs and achieve better learning results through direct feedback.

The schools that are interested in this offer can apply for participation by the end of November. The official start of the project is planned for the coming half of the year in February 2025, which means that the first results are to be evaluated promptly.

The potential that is in the combination of traditional educational work and modern technologies such as AI is often discussed. Teachers and educational experts expect such programs to help to significantly improve the learning conditions for students and to increase the efficiency of the lessons.
