Honorable award for Harald Fischer: Help for Ukraine!

Frechen, Deutschland - hero of the year: Harald Fischer wins the city of Frechen!

In a heart -warming reception in the town hall of Frechen, Harald Fischer was awarded the city's honor by Mayor Susanne Stupp! This remarkable man organized incredible twelve aid transports to the crisis areas of Ukraine - together with a passionate team of volunteers! Fischer is the head behind the "human aid project Sophie", named after his granddaughter. "Charity and humanity have been very important!" Stupp praised him and his family from Habbelrath for their tireless efforts.

230 tons of help for Ukraine!

The motivation for these spectacular aid actions came from the shocking pictures of refugee people, tribulation and need that we achieved in the first news. "That could also be Sophie," thought Fischer and immediately mobilized the forces. A total of around 230 tons of relief goods - including food, medication, clothing and many other vital things - were brought to Ukraine to help the affected people.

Behind the scenes of this great action are immense logistical challenges. The countless bureaucratic hurdles and the strictly travel routes to and within Ukraine were a constant struggle. But Fischer and his team remained persistent and gave everything to also support the fire brigade and the emergency services in Ukraine with fire trucks used. Unfortunately, the extremely important project had to be stopped at some point due to a lack of personnel and material resources.
