Henner Pasch: IHK President wants the second term in the Bergisches Land!

Bergisches Land. The Solingen entrepreneur and President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), Henner Pasch, has big plans! He strives for a second term and is optimistic. "If I am elected to the general assembly-and then choose the general assembly again-I would like to do this another term," explains the 43-year-old. Pasch, who competed in 2021 as a short -term opponent against the controversial Wuppertal entrepreneur Jörg Heynkes, has already made a name for himself in the IHK.

The choice of the new general assembly for Remscheid, Solingen and Wuppertal takes place between January 18 and 14 February 2025. During this period, 141 entrepreneurs apply for 80 seats. The general assembly, also known as the "parliament of the economy", will later vote for the president. In his first term, Pasch recognized how complex and time -consuming the office is. "I underestimated how complex and complex this office is," he admits.

Pasch plans a second term

With an effort of around 40 hours a week, Pasch invested a lot of time in his presidency. "This is only possible because I have great managers in my company," he emphasizes. He sees the need for a second term to tackle important topics that have arisen in recent years. "Another or another would have to acquire this wealth of experience completely," explains Pasch and emphasizes the importance of continuity in the current political landscape.

Pasch also has clear ideas for the future: "After the second term, I think-it is good to pass on the office." He wants fresh perspectives and could well imagine that a woman will succeed. "The IHK currently needs someone at the top who is interested in the fact that something will change significantly in the future," he says, underlining that he does not see his role as a crowning glory of a life's work.
