Future of the city library: Citizens shape the move to Marschall 66

Bergstr. 230, 45768 Marl, Deutschland - The city of Marl opens its doors to a significant future workshop that deals with the challenges and perspectives of the city library. On October 23, 2024, all interested citizens are invited to contribute their ideas and suggestions. The reason for this event is the upcoming move of the library to the new cultural center Marschall 66, where creative concepts for future orientation are to be developed.

The city administration has set itself the goal of making the library in line with needs and asking various questions in the room: How must the city library change in order to become more relevant to the population? Which existing offers are already helpful and what other activities do users want? In order to discuss these concerns, the event is moderated by an external expert and is intended to offer an open platform for the exchange of ideas.

Registration for the future workshop

For everyone who wants to actively participate in the design of the library future, there is the opportunity to register by October 21st. This can be done either by email to stadtbibliothek@marl.de or by phone at (02365) 99-4200. Even those who cannot take part in the event are welcome to submit their ideas and suggestions. The city of Marl is happy about a lively discussion and numerous contributions, because the goal is to make the city library alive as a place of encounter and knowledge.
