Change of coach at SV Dahl-Friedrichsthal: Hennecke steps back!

Olpe. A bang in the football scene, Dirk Hennecke, coach of SV Dahl-Friedrichsthal, steps with the start of the winter break from his office back! The news causes excitement, but the decision was long expected in the cabin. Hennecke, who works as a digital sales manager, is forced to give up his coaching position due to increasing professional requirements. Assistant coach Chris Hardenack will take over the reins and lead the team into the second half of the season.

"It was not easy to stop now. Of course, the fun was greater," admits Hennecke, whose team put an impressive promotion from 14 to fifth place. After a series of six wins and a draw, the last defeat against SG Finnentrop/Bamenohl was a hard setback. Hennecke explains that his professional obligations, which often lead him abroad, make further cooperation impossible. "I have always shot in the red area recently," said the trainer, who is grateful to the club that he came towards him and made it possible to switch to the winter break.

The team undertook a remarkable development under Hennecke. With a comfortable distance from the relegation places and the goal of climbing further up, the pressure on hardenack, which acts as a player coach, is great. "He has a good connection to the group and brings a lot of football understanding," says Michael Schneider, the 2nd chairman of SV Dahl-Friedrichsthal. Hardenack, who is even the team's best scorer, has already proven that he is able to successfully conduct the team.

The last game of Hennecke takes place on December 8th at SV Rahrbachtal. Schneider regrets the farewell: "This is a shame for us, because Dirk did an excellent job and continued what Michael Kügler started." The football world in Olpe is eagerly watching how the team will develop under Hardenack!
