Great emotions and gripping games: The Ü60 district selection of the Olpe football group caused a sensation at the unofficial German field championship in Wattenscheid! In a spectacular tournament that combined the best kickers in this age group, the team around player coach Rolf Middeke fought to the final and in the end only had to surrender to the strong district selection from Recklinghausen.

With an exciting pre -qualification, the Olper did not go unnoticed. In their group, which also included the former rivals from Siegen and Paderborn, they started with an impressive 2-0 victory against Höxter! These are the moments when the hearts beat faster. The way to the final

In the semi -finals, the Olper continued their impressive performance by defeating the Rhein district selection 1-0! Jürgen Schwickerath was the hero of the game after scoring the decisive goal after a great pass from Andi Stock. But the grand finale against the team from Recklinghausen should be a completely different challenge. Despite a brilliant 1-0 lead by Matthias Rademacher, the Olper had to give up 1: 3 in the end. Coach Middeke had to recognize that Recklinghausen was superior in fitness and tactics in the second half: "The title goes into the Ruhr area", according to the gripping final.
