October is there, and with it the typical signs of autumn: shorter days and cooler air. But despite the uncomfortable weather, there are interesting events in the Olpe district that invite you to leave the house and actively shape the weekend. Whether music lovers or handicrafts enthusiasts - there is something for every taste.

A highlight of the weekend will take place on Friday, October 4, in the pub of the Schrabbenhof in Silberg. From 7 p.m. onwards, "schnapps and hits" will create a good atmosphere. If you like harder sounds, you can look forward to the concert of the band "Stormage" in Studio A in Attendorn on the same evening, where heavy metal is presented.

On Saturday, October 5, the Benedikt Hesse Trio starts from 7:30 p.m. in the old Hützemert train station and offers a musical mix of jazz, funk and Latin. Also on this evening, the district youth wind orchestra Olpe in the Olpe town hall shows its skills with a concert under the motto "Sound: Worlds". Around 50 musicians from 20 different clubs will present their talent.

For fans of theater performances, the Sauerland Theater Hillmicke is the right destination, which recognizes its 75th anniversary on Saturday with a big celebration in the Hillmicker sports hall. The afternoon starts with a humorous entertainment program, and in the evening the event is enriched by live music by "Unart" to which you can dance.

creative minds will also get their money's worth on the same weekend: On Saturday and Sunday, 5th and 6th October, there will be a creative market with around 30 exhibitors in the Wenden town hall. A large number of handicrafts and works of art are presented here, so that even one or the other Christmas present can be obtained. Sunday also impresses with a Sunday open in Wenden.

and for the outdoor fans there is a rustic event in Rönkhausen: On Saturday, October 5, the ninth tractor meeting will take place around the Schützenplatz, where both tractor and fans are very welcome.
