Amprion starts important work for new power line between Attendorn and Olpe

In Attendorn and Olpe, significant changes are imminent. The transmission system operator Amprion begins in mid-October with the preparatory work for the overhead line project Kruckel-Dauersberg. These measures are an essential step in the energetic infrastructure of this region.

The first work will start with a wood strike. These preparatory steps last until February 2025, followed by the route to transport building materials to the specific mast locations. The actual construction work for the construction of the overhead line should begin in the fourth quarter of 2025 after retreating with the affected property owners and the responsible authorities.

Details on the Kruckel-Dauersberg project

The project includes the line section C, for which the Arnsberg district government issued the planning approval decision in the summer of 2022. This section extends over around 37 kilometers and connects Attendorn with the state border with Rhineland-Palatinate. The entire Kruckel-Dauersberg project will be part of a new 380-kilovolt connection that extends from Dortmund to the Rhine-Main area and replaces an old 220 kilovolt connection.
