In Oberhausen there will soon be a revolutionary innovation for everyone who wants to get rid of their old clothes! The city administration has decided with an overwhelming majority of a pick -up service for old dresses, which is due to start on January 1, 2025. No more tedious way to the containers - now the collection is organized right on the doorstep!

How does it work? Very easy! The citizens can make an appointment either by phone or online, and within just ten working days, the old clothes bags are picked up directly in front of their own apartment. This measure is no coincidence: it is part of an EU directive that obliges all German cities to carry out their own collections for old clothes from next year. So far, the collection in Oberhausen was limited to containers at various locations that were operated by the business companies in cooperation with associations and associations.
