Oberhausen shines: The craziest Christmas house opens its doors!

In Oberhausen, the home of the geriatric nurse Dirk van Acken shines in full Christmas splendor. Every year he transforms his 94-square-meter apartment and the garden into a magical Winterwonderland that is not only a magical experience for children. This year's season started on November 25th and is already attracting numerous visitors. Van Acken, now known as Santa Claus from Oberhausen, ensures an unforgettable experience with over 70,000 lights, numerous garlands, snow cannons and life -size Christmas figures. Daily visitor flows enjoy free treats such as mulled wine and sausages, which makes the Christmas mood even more intense, reports Radio erft .

Van Acken's incredible commitment costs him a lot of money - the batteries for the lights alone cost over 500 euros - but for him it is worth the effort. Until December 26th, he invites everyone to discover his Christmas magic world, which not only makes children's eyes shine, but also warms heart. "When people arrive alone here and then sit down later, the whole trouble was worth it," says the committed geriatric nurse.
