Wiehl celebrates victory against Flittard and prepares for summit meetings

In a gripping duel of the A-Juniors district league, FV Wiehl defeated FC Flittard 4-2 on Saturday and remains unbeaten in the league! Coach Jerome Casper praised the "victory of will", even if the Wiehler did not shine with fine football. After an early opening goal by Luan Melzig in the 28th minute, the team briefly faltered in the second half when Flittard equalized to 2: 2 with two fast goals. But the Wiehler showed the fighting spirit and turned the game again, with Jordi Schurzmann, who scored two goals, and a late penalty from Ba Bil Traore, who sealed the final score.

The next challenge is already at the corner: On the coming matchday there will be a summit against the new league leader SC Uckerath, who today defeated the previous leader FC Rheinsüd Köln. Casper, who previously trained the U19 from Uckerath, is looking forward to meeting and sees the chance to take the lead.

U14 juniors Show fighting spirit

The U14 juniors of FV Wiehl also caused excitement when they achieved an exciting 2-2 draw against FC Pesch. As in the first leg, the Wiehler were first 0: 2 behind, but the team did not give up. Coach Ralf Hoffmann was enthusiastic about the moral of his players, who equalized in added time. Quirin Schaul and Engin Turhan ensured a late point win with their goals, which raised the team mood considerably.

The games of the B-Juniors and the U15 of FV Wiehl have been canceled due to winter space, new appointments have not yet been determined. However, the Wiehler show that they are ready in the league to shine with combat spirit and teamwork!
